I am totally maternal! No choice it felt it was instinct, inbred just who I was. At 63 I wish I had been aware I had choices. I don’t necessarily say my choices would have been different, but I totally and wholeheartedly respect and applaud your choice. NO ONE should ever shame or hate on any of your choices, my words to them would be very “Choice” lol. Enjoy and Embrace your chosen path and tell All those who think “they have the right to give you their opinions” to do one, as applicable. Be happy and Stay Blessed in Life, however you choose to live it 🙏❤️

So true!! There are so many reasons for and against having kids. I always love reading articles like this because I think people are constantly pressured into societal norms that do not work for everyone. We have one child, and that is more than enough. We love our little guy; there are a lot of joys and life experiences you can only have with kids, but we made the choice in our 40s. And I very much agree with you about old age. There are no guarantees. Many of us don't even live in the same cities or continents as our families.
