I don't think I have been to any of these, but it does make me wonder what would be on my global list...

It was such a struggle to narrow down!

I was so delighted to find the first restaurant mentioned in the article to be Hortelã when I live only 35 minutes from Portimão. Just putting my feelers out in the vegan community here to see if anybody knows whether this is a temporary or permanent closure.

And oh gosh yeah, Brighton!!! Must must must go!!! Unfortunately not on the travel list for a while.

This was a lovely and mouthwatering read. I love a good vegan Tiramisu.

oh please do tell me if it's still open! I LOVED that little place. Hugo and his sister seemed like such lovely people. It would be such a shame if it closed permanently but that seems to be the way of many plant-based restaurants lately, unfortunately.

Unfortunately two friends who knew and loved Hugo’s place confirm that it is no longer open. I’ll let you know if I ever find out he’s opening again there or somewhere else.

That is so sad. I wonder how many of the places on my list will no longer exist in a few years.

What a happy post! I love a good vegan restaurant. But, can I say how sad it is that these lovely places keep closing down?! We have lost some really magical places in the Catalonia region.

We plan to visit Brighton on our next trip to the UK - not sure when that will be. I think we need 3 days in Brighton just to try the food!

Ohh this is so saddening to me. Here in Brighton, so many amazing vegan places have closed down. Rents are just too high for small businesses. So many of my favourite spots are closing. It's really depressing. But there's still so much amazing vegan food to try, you'll definitely enjoy Brighton :)
