Wow! So impressive! I'm sure you'll learn Spanish and Portuguese quickly. I have tiny bits of Spanish, Catalan, and French. Barely enough to get by, but I sometimes surprise myself how much I know. I'm surrounded by native Catalan and Castellano speakers who all speak very fast. But, I keep trying.
Thank you for linking to my piece Sascha 🙂🙏🏻🌱 I had no idea Russian was your first language! How did I not know that? What an impressive language journey!
You can definitely easily learn Spanish and Portuguese from your Italian - esp if you spend a few months in a country that speaks those languages.
I agree French is harder - but you do have some help from Italian to help you along the way.
I guess I don't talk much about my Russian background as it doesn't feature much in my life outside of family and friends. I feel quite separated from Russia as I've only gone back once since leaving in 1990. So it doesn't tend to come up much.
YES I am learning Spanish or Portuguese! It will be a goal for the near future :) fifth-language update to this post coming up :D

That's the thing in Spain, they talk so quickly! I had a much easier time understanding Spanish in Mexico, actually.
What about the language from Star Wars? It was Glingon or something…
hahahaaaa you misspelled that intentionally to avoid looking like you know what Klingon is
Nerd
it's not like I know Klingon!
To everyone else reading: David is my husband (and indeed a massive nerd. Not in a Klingon way but in countless other ways)
