Thank you for sharing this, and well done on your persistence! I can't imagine how demoralising it must have been until the very end, I'm not sure I could have coped myself!

Thanks! Well, most of my coping was huge amounts of chocolate and lots of crying.

I recently read Stephen King's On Writing and he said this: he pinned every single rejection letter he had received to his wall with a nail, “By the time I was fourteen, the nail in my wall would no longer support the weight of the rejection slips impaled upon it."

Persistence is indeed the key!

Thank you! There is SO much behind the scenes when it comes to a book. It’s rarely straightforward. I’m lucky to have made it, but it also took so long and was a lot of work. And the industry is structured in a way that means the odds are stacked against people with no connections or following. But it IS possible!

This is important info for anyone creating something in the vegan space. There are so many great businesses who are launching great products but with very little social media following - it's almost an afterthought. Which is sad because, like you said, it's the difference between a deal, sale or not.
