Live kind. Find your wild.
Thoughts on living ethically in this crazy world - while still enjoying life.
Hi, I’m Sascha. I want to save the world - but I am also a total hedonist.
I am a vegan writer and PR specialist, the founder of the world’s first digital vegan fashion magazine, the host of a podcast on vegan fashion and conscious luxury, and the author of the world’s first vegan style guide. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been trying to, well, change the world.
But I am also a big-time hedonist and fun-loving explorer. I love travelling the world, wearing beautiful clothes, eating delicious food and experiencing life.
And I am intentional in my quest to unite the two.
I went vegan in 2012. I was moving to London from Milan and had just finished reading Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer. I was horrified by the cruelty that seemed to lurk everywhere around us, and determined to do my bit to make the world a better place. But I was also a fashion writer who subscribed to ELLE, went to Fashion Week, and, let’s face it, kinda wanted to be Miranda Priestley when I grew up. I was living a double life: writing about leather bags by day, penning blogs for dog-rescue organisations by night.
Fast forward to 2019. I was now PR coordinator at the biggest animal rights organisation in the world, had launched a digital vegan fashion magazine, and written a book about vegan fashion. I was giving speeches and guest-lecturing about vegan fashion at universities. The magazines I had read since I was a kid were now putting me on their “most empowering activists” lists. Veganism had changed my life, and I was truly living and breathing my values. And I was still searching for ways to live a beautiful life - while respecting and loving our planet.
Today, I love to explore the world, wear beautiful clothes and eat delicious food. And yes, I am very much still vegan. I believe these things definitely can go together, and I’m trying my best to show that a vegan life can be a joyful one.
